Opportunity to Voice Opposition

Just received an email from the folks at Not in Our Name announcing that the Statement of Conscience Against War and Repression--the one the New York Times "forgot" to run the day after Bush's corination, will run next Tuesday as a full page in the Los Angeles Times If you have not yet signed the statement, please do so do so.

In addition to mass circulation newspapers, they're also asking for ideas about where else the statement could be published.
Please send your suggestions to nion@cloud9.net.

The New Not in Our Name Statement of Conscience, opposing the domestic and international agenda of the Bush government, has been signed by more than 66,000 people and appeared in the New York Times on Sunday, January 23, and in the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday, February 3.

The Not In Our Name statement has no organizational sponsor; it is the joint effort of all of us who want to make our voices heard. Thus we alone are the source of financial support.
