A Democratic Revival?

Things may be looking up for the Democratic Party. Howard Dean is garning more and more support in his bid for DNC chair, and today, Senate Minority leader Harry Reid set out the Democrats agenda for the 109th congress--an agenda that suggests the Democrats will stop playing defense and will begin to act like an opposition party. You can read a nice synopsis of the agenda via the Left Coaster.

What our party needs right now is energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to do things differently, and I see support for Dean's bid for DNC chair and the agenda Reid set forth today as signs that these three things are finally coming together. Now all Democrats must rise to the challenge.
